For all Policy holders once a shipment has been entered in your AFI dashboard, it is insured. These shipments can be viewed at any time once you have logged in. These logs can be used if tehre is a need to file a claim. If you need to print a report, the tallied report contains information such as date of shipment, tracking number, and declared value.

Auction Buyers and Sellers

I sell on online auctions, how can I explain '3rd Party Insurance' to my buyers?
This is a very common question we are asked by Auction Sellers. Always list that you provide 3rd party insurance and link to our site. You can also communicate to your buyers via email and/or Skype®. We provide logo images to add to your auctions as certificates for inside your shipment to show you have insured their shipment. We also suggest adding the following verbiage to your 'shipping' or 'policies' section of your listing:
-Professional 3rd Party Shipping Insurance provided by AFI: Any Freight Insurance-

We also suggest including the above verbiage on your invoice and/or packing slips. This way your buyers will feel secure with the fact that your item is insured while it is in transit.

I am an auction seller. Can my buyers contact you directly?
At any time they can contact us. We will be more than happy to explain the coverage we have in place to ensure that they feel confident in purchasing from you. WE can also provide logos for your auction(link).

I am an Auction Buyer. I want to buy an item from an auction site. Can I insure the shipment directly through AFI instead of the Seller?
You can insure the shipment if the declared value is under $10,001.00 (policy holders have higher limits). All you have to do is purchase a one time policy from our website here(link).

I do not have an appraisal or proof of value for my auction item(s). What value do I insure my shipment for?

Appraisals or a proof of value are not needed to show the value of your auction. Your End of Auction (EOA) page/receipt is your proof of value. This will show the sale price of the item(s).
